Difference between a “Person” and a “Host”

Person
A Person is a pre-registered Visitor such as a Staff Member or Volunteer who has details such as Name, Visitor Type and Access Code pre-recorded to streamline their sign in process.

To create such a Person record please refer to steps 1-6 in this help article.

To do the setup you will need the person’s Name, Visitor Type and Access Code.


Host
A Host relates to the email notifications feature and will enable your Staff Member to receive an email when their name is selected from the Host List by a visitor signing in.

To create such a Host record please refer all steps (except 5) in this help article.

To do the setup you will need the person’s Name, Visitor Type and Email Address.


Can you be a Person and a Host?
Yes, with a Person’s record, simply be sure to include their Email Address and check the Host checkbox (bottom right). They will then be pre-registered for sign ins and be able to receive email notifications from arriving visitors.
